ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

With International Graduate School of Biblical Studies(IGSB)’s online degrees, you will be trained to meet today’s most prevalent ministry needs and build a bridge to meet the ministry needs of tomorrow wherever you are. The objective of IGSB is to provide ministry leaders with character, conviction, competence, compassion, and credentials. International Graduate School of Biblical Studies(IGSB) graduates will serve faithfully as pastors, teachers, missionaries and leaders for evangelical Christian ministries throughout the world. IGSB offers two kinds of program. The one is the Master of Theology in Biblical study (Th.M) 36 credits(thesis 6 credits), the other is the Master’s and Doctoral Common Degree in Biblical Theology – 60 credits(thesis 9 credits).

1. Th.M Program

IGSB’s 24 credits(plus dissertation work) of Master of Theology in biblical Studies(Th.M) forms Christian scholars, teachers and servant-leaders for the church and seminaries. Candidates for the Master of Theology in Biblical Studies can focus either Old Testament or New Testament. The degree is designed to achieve substantive understanding of the field of Biblical studies appropriate for advanced academic study of Scripture in the service of the church and seminaries. A student enrolled in a Th.M program can take up to 3 credits in other major courses.

 

The 50% plus of the regular tuition fee per year will be awarded to all the qualifying Th.M applicants in Biblical Studies (Old Testament and New Testament) in the each school year.

* IGSB expects from the Degree

The following is an overview of the degree requirements:

– Completion of 24 credits in the Courses (Th.M & Ph.D Common),

as outlined in the Academic Catalog with a cumulative grade point average of

at least 3.00/4.00.

– Active attendance of the weekly class and response what you learn

in the group chat.

– Pass the competency exit exam with a score of 80%.

– Approval of a dissertation proposal.

– Completion and successful defense of the dissertation.

2. Ph.D Program

IGSB’s 36 credits(plus dissertation work) of Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies focus on either Old Testament or New Testament in the context of the entire biblical scholarship. A student enrolled in a Ph.D program can take up to 6 credits in other major courses.

 

The 50% plus of the regular tuition fee per year will be awarded to all the qualifying Ph.D applicants in Biblical Studies (Old Testament and New Testament) in the each school year.

* IGSB expects from the Degree

The following is an overview of the degree requirements:

– Successful completion of 36 credits in the Courses (Th.M & Ph.D Common),

as outlined in the Academic Catalog with a cumulative grade point average of

3.30/4.00 or higher. *The 36 credits completed must not be overlapped with the

courses taken in the Master of Theology program.

-Approval of the Research Readiness Review at the end of the first academic year.

– Attendance of the weekly school class and response what you learn in the group

chat.

– Modern and Biblical Language Requirements as outlined in the academic catalog.

– Passing of the comprehensive examinations.

– Approval of a dissertation proposal.

– Completion and successful defense of the dissertation.
